Frequently, people I talk to ask me what it’s like to work with me. I’m always happy to explain but thought, “I know who could explain this even better”….one of my clients! I feel so privileged to have been a part of Megan’s journey, and was so thrilled that she was willing to share her experiences with you! If you’ve ever wondered what being my business BFF (aka: my client) is like, this post has your name all over it!
Hey there beautiful people! I’m Megan, owner and newborn photographer at Megan Carey Photography. I spend my days trying to be the best wife and mom I can be to a hubby I adore and two gorgeous kiddos. I’ve found myself in love with fitness, doing obstacle course races and 5k’s for fun, all while still indulging my love for ice cream and my homemade alfredo. I am easily bribed with white chocolate mochas from Starbucks, and, if I make it through the day without stepping on Legos or tripping over dolls, I consider the day a success (not because my kids didn’t make a mess that day, I was just ultra good at navigating it!)!
Around the same time, Kim posted on Facebook that she was looking for volunteers to be her guinea pigs before she officially opened up her coaching business. I knew I just had to land this. I needed this. When I got the email telling me I had been selected for her coaching calls, I literally jumped up and down.

The first four calls were amazing and I knew I had more work to do. Finally, I was in a place where I was willing to ask for the help I needed, so I signed up for four more coaching calls. I bit the bullet, paid for four more calls, and kept on working. Spending money is never easy, but if I wasn’t willing to invest in myself why should my clients invest in me?
If there were only one thing that I would change about the whole experience, it would be that I didn’t do this sooner!

Most importantly, I don’t feel like I’m alone anymore, and I have a newfound confidence and love for my business that can only be attributed to Kim’s help and encouragement.
