When my daughter started preschool in 2010, I knew I had to ditch my cushy sales job and come up with a way to build my work around my family, instead of the other way around. It broke my heart that that first season of my daughter’s life, the ones where she was home full time and full of snuggles, was spent in an office while her (super amazing!) home daycare provider watched her grow.
On a whim, I decided I’d start a photography business (I was good at it, and often shot “sessions” for friends and family for free, just because). I quit my job, spent all night creating a website with help from my friends YouTube and Google, and a week later booked my first gig. I soon was booked solid months in advance and was having to turn away potential clients (a good problem to have!). My sales background helped me build a successful business that allowed the flexibility to be at school functions, and always be there when my daughter got home from school. It was the best!
Only, while I loved running a business, I didn’t love photography. After a few years, I found myself again feeling frustrated and itchin’ for a change.
On a whim, I applied for an assistant job at Photographers Connection, an online community where over 50,000 members head for education and encouragement. I landed the job, and eventually became the business coordinator. I loved helping other women learn how to do business, better!
In 2014, I branched out on my own, and Kimberly Haydn Consulting was born. I love that I now spend my days helping other women figure out what makes them happy, and teaching them how to turn their ideas into businesses.

In May 2016, I gave birth to my second child (another girl I can push my headband and bow obsession on- yes!), and I am happier than ever that all those years ago I decided to design a business on my terms. When I’m not helping women like you get closer to living the life they imagine, you can find me binge watching on Netflix, drinking red wine, touting my littles around the mall to scope out the newest additions at Kate Spade, and cherishing date nights with my amazing guy (after all, he’s the one who encouraged me to chase my dreams!).

No two clients ever take the same journey, but the outcome is always the same. They’re left with a business they’re proud of, that they adore running!
