When is the last time you sent some good ol’ snail mail? Showing love to your current and past clients by sending them “thanks for working with me” client gifts is an easy way to score some extra credit customer service points. Check out my go-to places for buying beautiful stationary that will take your level of service from ho-hum to holy cow, and get tips on creative ways to score an A+ when it comes to thoughtful gestures!
Who doesn’t get giddy when something comes in the mail with their name on it, besides bills? As adults, we pull entirely too much junk out of our mailboxes, so I’m a big believer in sending the kind of messages that require postage whenever possible. Sending thoughtful client gifts is a great way to show your appreciation, and cultivate lasting relationships!
I promise, if you send each client gifts to show you’re grateful for their business, you’ll see your business grow!

First of all, send thank you notes. This tiny gesture takes all of four minutes, and makes a great impression!
The best tips? Find stationary that matches your branding, and invest in a personalized return address stamper.
You can drop clients a line when they hire you or purchase something, on their birthday, to thank them for giving you a fab referral, when you’ve finished working with them, whenever!

Aside from sending notes, sending your clients tokens of appreciation is a fun way to get them singing your praises from the rooftops.
I’m big on sending personal gifts, with thought behind them, so getting creative is key.
If you sell products, consider spending a little extra on pretty packaging, and throw in something your buyer wouldn’t expect. I once ordered a mug on Etsy, and when it arrived, I was surprised to find a few packets of tea tucked inside, along with a really well designed card with a discount code I could use on my next purchase. I loved it!
If you’re a photographer, think of the types of sessions you shoot, and come up with a few little things you can give them at the session to help things go smoothly. Perhaps mints and wipes to clean up lipstick marks from sweet kisses during an engagement session, or coloring sheets and crayons for the ride home if you’re shooting kids.
You get the idea. Think about your business and jot down a few ways you can boost your brand by sending client gifts before, during, and/or after you work with someone!
What do you do to show appreciation to your clients? I promise, once you make these little gestures part of your routine it will pay off in a big way! If the creative juices just aren’t flowing, tell me a little bit about your business in the comments and I’ll shoot you an idea!
